Cardinals Stun Rams on Final Play; Eagles' Slide Deepens in Week 6

Chad Ryland's sixth field goal as time expired capped a wild NFL Sunday that also saw Buffalo survive, Kansas City stay perfect and London deliver a thriller.

Arizona Cardinals players in action during an NFL game

Chad Ryland drilled his sixth field goal of the day — a 43-yarder as time expired — to hand the Arizona Cardinals a stunning 18-16 win over the Los Angeles Rams and headline a Sunday full of late drama in NFL week six.

The Rams had gone ahead with 47 seconds left when Matthew Stafford found Colby Parkinson for a touchdown. But with kicker Blake Grupe injured making a first-quarter tackle, punter Ethan Evans handled the extra point — then Arizona raced 36 yards into range, helped by an unnecessary roughness flag, and Ryland did the rest. Both teams sit at 2-4.

Eagles hurting, Chiefs perfect

Philadelphia's slide deepened: missing Jalen Hurts — on injured reserve with a blood clot in his calf — and Saquon Barkley, the Eagles fell 25-14 at home to Carolina behind Bryce Young's two touchdowns and 120 rushing yards from Chuba Hubbard. Philadelphia are 2-4.

Kansas City stayed the AFC's last unbeaten side at 5-0, beating the Chargers 22-6 behind 128 yards and two scores from Kenneth Walker III. Los Angeles are 0-6 — their worst start since 2000.

Wembley fireworks

In London, Houston outlasted Jacksonville 34-31 at Wembley when Ka'imi Fairbairn hit a 49-yard field goal on the final play. Travis Hunter became just the fifth player in the Super Bowl era to score a touchdown and intercept a pass in the same game — his end-zone pick of CJ Stroud set up Cam Little's 60-yard equaliser before the final kick.

Elsewhere: Josh Allen tied Jim Kelly's franchise record for touchdown passes in Buffalo's 33-30 win over Las Vegas; Aaron Rodgers led Pittsburgh's overtime comeback past Tampa Bay 26-19; Deshaun Watson set up a last-play winner as Cleveland edged Baltimore 13-10; and New England stretched its streak to three, beating the Jets 26-19.
